Zanzibar, Pemba & Mafia Island

Visitors needing a relaxing change after participating in an exiting safari in Tanzania will love Zanzibar's ambiance, slow pace and crystal clear waters. Zanzibar’s brilliant white beaches fringed by the warm Indian Ocean provide the prefect retreat to soak up the tropical sun and take a break from busy sight seeing! There is more to Zanzibar than just talcum powder white beaches. The winding, cobbled streets of the Old Stone Town are a living history book of its colorful and exciting past, a treasure trove of adventure, legends, sultans, galleons, battles, slaves and explorers.
Both Zanzibar and neighboring Pemba and Mafia Island also provide some of the best waters in the world for diving, fishing and sailing. Impressive formations of coral, including stunning 'drop wall' dive sites (off Pemba) complimented by colorful and prolific marine life, including dolphin, turtles, impressively sized manta rays, whale shark (seasonal) as well a swarming tiny coral fish. Zanzibar also boasts Chumbe Island just off its shores - the world's finest marine park, a kaleidoscope of spectacular, bright coral forests in crystal clear water (snorkeling only).
